Why we noticed it

Pilling is different from loose lint. The little balls of fibre are still anchored in the fabric, so a brush can't move them; they need to be trimmed. The EC19 is a compact, branded shaver with a steel guard grille and a safety switch, and we're offering the exact model rather than a lookalike.

About this product

Pills, not lint. Loose fur and lint sit on top of the fabric and can be brushed away (that’s what No. 001 is for). Pills and fuzz are different: they are small balls of fibre still attached to the knit. The EC19 trims them under its steel grille, and the fluff collects in a chamber you empty.

Using it well.

  • Lay the garment on a flat surface and keep the area gently taut.
  • Start on the lowest speed with light pressure and short passes, and check the result as you go.
  • Try a small, hidden area first.
  • Keep it away from loose threads, buttons, embroidery and very fine or loosely woven fabrics.
  • Empty the lint chamber often.

The blade cover must be locked on before the shaver will run.
